So today I’ve found myself having a little bit of bloggers block. As anyone knows that writes regularly, writing can be hard! The realty is that you don’t jump out of bed everyday with amazing stories to tell, sometimes you just have to wait until your in a moment that you want to share with everybody about and this was what happened to me today.
After coming home from exercising with my friend, I found myself making my lunch of snapper and salad before work (yes I am also trying to eat healthy regardless of the little voice in my head saying that I could have something unhealthy as I now “deserve it” because I’ve exercised *shakes head*).
My plan was to sit down and complete a quick blog while eating my food but as I made my way to the table, I realised that I had no idea what I wanted to say! Now anybody who knows me will tell you that having nothing to say is a very rare occurrence for me so as I sat there, staring at the plate of food in front of me, I decided to not focus on my blog but one of my other foodie passions which is to take photos of food.
I snapped the condense on my plate moving from angle to angle, low light to high light, top to bottom of the dish and came up with some really good shots, then it struck me, I DO have something to share!
This is a blog that I want people to relate to and talking and sharing my struggles as well as my success is part of that (I believe that we can all relate to regardless if you’re a foodie or not). Sometimes you have good days and bad days which makes life interesting and worth living. I found the trick with bloggers block is that you need to wait until the inspiration comes to you instead of forcing it. Change tacts and direction every now and again will keep those inspirational juices flowing and give you the motivation to keep moving forward!

Never ever have I known you to have nothing to say, and guess what, once again I was right. You had lots to say once you just took a breath a do let it flow. And the lunch dish looks very very tasty

Tis something most of us are afflicted by at some time or another I would imagine. Between Christmas and New Year I dont think I wrote anything (although to be fair I was rarely in a condition to be capable of opening a computer, let alone write anything).

Yes I completely agree,
It’s something everyone can relate to….. It can be so hard to write when there’s so much going on in your personal life. You need time and space to breath 🙂

Completely agree. The same thing happened to me this morning. So I started reading other blogs and articles instead. Before I knew it, I suddenly had an idea! 🙂

Oh yes, I know the feeling well. Where oh where is mistress muse when you need her. I know it so well I wrote a poem about it sometime back… which, like your wonderful post here, wrote itself .. after I stopped fixating on the topic to write about and just … started writing. I love your photographs, as well as your recipes, and especially your eloquent writing. Keep up the great work.

When I first began blogging all I wrote about was food. But i never expected to post something everyday, that would have driven me nuts. As time moved along, so did I. Out to the garden, photos of my animals, a mis-mash of any and everything. I went thru a rough patch with losses of family members and I found myself navigating more towards reading blogs, than writing within mine. But i’m that sort of individual, moving along with the tide.
I have meant many wonderful people thru reading and commenting on their blogs, and that has encouraged me to write, but also to be inspired by others work, asking if I could reblog their work for my readers to view. The world is a great place, not always terror laden or diatribed. So many interesting people, so little time…😉

I’ve found the shorter the thing I mean to write the harder time I have starting it, never mind finishing it as that’ll be almost

You are so right in your observations of how this has evolved. Of course, the fads can be tiresome. Living in South Louisiana (USA), we were never more happy than when the “Cajun Blackened” cooking technique died down. My wife and I, and our friends, enjoy trying new things, though, and I think it’s for the social aspect in a way. Cheers!

Haha yes, you are so right the fads can get rather tiresome.
So glad to hear that you enjoying trying new foods. I believe that trying new food every now and again is wonderful and going to different restaurants will give you a unique social experience each time your out with your freinds.
That’s the fabulous thing about eating out isn’t it? 🙂

I love taking pictures of food as well! I had a huge discussion about it today with my boyfriend and I find that appreciating food as art and writing about it helps me find a little piece of happiness each day. I’m glad that you feel the same way 🙂
